5 Best Parks In Hudson County, NJ, To Maintain Your Running Habit

Paragon Painters - 5 Best Parks In Hudson County, NJ, To Maintain Your Running Habit

Finding the right place to keep your running habit is almost as important as finding the motivation to do it. In other words, if you want to maintain a healthy practice, you must find it amusing every time to keep you motivated. If your goal is to run in the mornings, then the trail has to be comfortable, convenient, and safe. Plus, a great view always helps. So, where can you find this kind of place in Hudson County, NJ? Keep reading and find out!

Pier C Park (Hoboken)

Starting a healthy habit like morning runs can be difficult, especially if your running trail has a boring or monotonous view. If you’re looking for a Hudson River running path, Pier C Park has one of the nicest sights. This Hoboken park is small and has the shape of a kidney, but it was built with creativity and care, offering the locals a perfect running route to enjoy the bay while you run over the little bridges that enter the park.

Lincoln Park (Jersey City)

For those who are used to long runs, Lincoln Park is a well-known gem in Jersey City that has the right extension for the light-footed. This urban park is in the heart of the city, a 273-acre green area with tennis courts, public golf course, playgrounds, dog runs, and many more features. If you have an hour to spare in your running routine, take a visit to Lincoln Park. You won’t regret it.

Liberty State Park (Jersey City)

This isn’t just another large park in Jersey City. Liberty State Park is the one park where you can take a full direct look at the Statue of Liberty, the closest view to the monument. In fact, that’s not all, the Manhattan skyline also extends to the horizon, on the other side of the bay, and you can enjoy it while you run through the trails. However, we recommend you go to this park in the early hours of the day, to avoid the crowds of tourists this park normally attracts.

Stephen R. Gregg Park (Bayonne)

For those who prefer a bay view over a running trail on Hudson River, Stephen R. Gregg Park is the best option. Who wouldn’t want to run watching the beautiful views of Newark Bay? Or breathe the sweet air that the cherry blossom trees aromatize? Also, there are baseball fields and children playground that makes its a family-friendly destination for locals and tourists alike.

Mill Creek Marsh (Secaucus)

Located in New Jersey meadowlands, Mill Creek Marsh is a natural preserve that borders the Cromakill Creek and features excellent trails to walk or run through. Hiking here is a healthy way to get out of the hustle of the city and regain peace of mind with fresh air and physical activity. It’s not a very busy destination, so you probably won’t have much company other than teal ducks across the trail.

What do you think? Do you think you can keep your running habit in these great parks? We hope so! But, if one of your other goals is painting or remodeling your home, let us help you with that. Contact us on our website and schedule your cleaning service.

How To Compromise With Your Partner When Decorating Your Home

How To Compromise With Your Partner When Decorating Your Home

You just bought your first home. Congratulations! You’re boxes away from moving in when your partner has a wonderful decorating idea that makes you wish you were back at your parent’s house. How did you not know their sense of taste? Now, what are you going to do? Is this going to be another fight over decorating? Don’t ruin your relationship, simply compromise with these helpful tips from Paragon Painters.

Know Other’s Limits

Everyone has boundaries, some more than others. Even if your husband or wife disagree on the decorating style, take the time to listen to your partner and get to know their tastes. Listening is crucial to ANY and all relationships. When you communicate with your partner, try not to demand or dictate your style preferences. It’s okay to not like something, but it’s also okay for someone else to like it. Remember the world would be pretty boring if we were all the same.

Prioritize

What is most important about decorating your home? The style? The feel? The presence? The image? What do you both want from the end outcome? When you have a mutual priority, then you have a joined goal to work towards and will find common decorating ideas to fill your home. As always, be open-minded and flexible to your partner’s ideas.

Mix Styles

If your styles are complete opposites of each other, then try mixing them together. Remember, opposites attract. This may not work for every preferred style. However, a few added pieces of décor from you or your partner could add just the right amount of contrast to spice up the room and give it the design for which you are striving.

Remain Neutral

A neutral color palette works well for picky and difficult-to-please couples who just can’t decide on a mutual design. The neutral background leaves plenty of opportunity for you and your partner to add pieces of furniture and décor that matches your personalities. Continue to communicate and be open to each other’s differences and opinions. Listen with full attention, not with a readied reply.

Use a Theme

For a fun alternative to decorating your home, find a mutual theme(s). Themes bring energy and liveliness to a home. This method allows you and your partner to be creative while working towards a mutual goal. Compromising at this level strengthens the bonds of your relationship and opens the door for future opportunities to grow.

Free Rein Rooms

If you find you can’t see eye-to-eye on a particular room(s), then give free rein  to a designated room to you and your partner. This way you each get to experience the joy of creating a space that transcends comfort and style for you and them. This is primarily a compromise for smaller spaces. Gathering spaces should probably remain neutral if unable to come to an agreement.

Try Something New

Be bold and try something completely new to both of you. Rip off the bandage. This is an exciting compromise when faced with a partner’s differences. Sure, change can be scary but it can also be fun! Here’s an opportunity to learn new things about yourself and your partner. Trying something new is a beautiful way to strengthen your relationship by sharing your strength, courage, creativity, and love.

Hire a Professional

When you have extinguished all your options, it’s time to hire a professional like Paragon Painters. Professionals have a keen eye to design and know-how  to take the likes of two individuals and mesh them together into one beautiful finish. Not only will you have a look you both will enjoy, but it will be pristine, pleasantly unique, and perfect your home.

You step over the threshold of your new home with your partner at your side. You take a deep breath as you smell the fresh coat of paint. You never knew a home could look so beautiful or feel so good. Everything you dreamed of concerning a new home came true—without sacrificing your tastes or your relationship. You look at your partner and smile, then lean in for a kiss. Who would have thought a little flexibility would go a long way towards happiness.
